Waterproof

VERSE 1
Life is pulling you under,
You can’t catch your breath
Try to keep treading water,
I know you’re not done, you’re not done yet. ‘Cause—
CHORUS
You’re waterproof, you’re gonna break through
You’re waterproof.
You’re not goin’ down, you’ll find that solid ground.
You know what to do, you’re waterproof.
VERSE 2
The wrong cloud may have found you,
Washed your dreams away
But in the clear, bright morning after
You pick yourself up and start a new day. CHORUS
BRIDGE
When the waves are rising you can make it through.
You’re stronger than the current, stronger than you ever knew. CHORUS

Beautiful Dream

Verse 1
The morning light comes in
But I’m not ready yet
For days without you here
Can’t help but wish the sun would set
Chorus
Let’s run away to a beautiful dream
Where hearts are whole, and our smiles are real
Where all the broken pieces are back where they belong
Can you help me to remember…..the music to our song
Verse 2
Some days our happy times
Are running through my head
Like some sad movie scenes
But still I never wish that I’ll forget
Tag
Another morning’s here
But I’m not ready yet

No Worries

CHORUS
I won’t let no worries slow me down
The worries were gettin’ too heavy to carry around
So I’m leavin’ them on the ground.
These worries been here way too long
Telling me I needed them but oh, they were wrong
Gonna throw ‘em all in a song.
VERSE 1
I may have car repairs, frizz in my hair
And people I can’t control
Gotta work like mad, days go too fast,
I’ve done what I can,
So it’s about time to let it go.
VERSE 2
There’s a sky full of stars, got this guitar
And still got a little cash.
So I’ll give stress a change of address
My mind can rest
‘Cause this is a day I won’t get back.

Startin’ My Day With You

Verse 1
The sun’s creeping over the hills
It’s cold out, but I don’t feel the chill.
You keep me warm with your kiss
No one else could wake my heart like this.
Chorus
You know I love….startin’ my day with you
Wish we could stay right here till the afternoon.
You open up my soul, bring the light into our room
Oh, I love….startin’ my day with you.
Verse 2
You bring me back from my dreams
And your smile’s the first thing I wanna see.
I know by the love in your eyes
You’ll be here every morning all my life. (To Chorus)
Bridge
Whenever life’s a challenge I can rise above
As long as we have this time together, that’s enough. (To Chorus)

What If We’re Bad Poets?
By Kathleen Stanley
VERSE 1
What if we’re bad poets?
Maybe that’s okay.
It’s far more sad to hold inside
What we want to say.
What if we’re bad dancers?
We try and sometimes fall
How would we learn to get back up
If we never danced at all?
CHORUS - So we’ll sing and dance and pour out our hearts
With all we have to give
Won’t think too hard, just live
And that’s how our dreams start.
VERSE 2
What if we’re bad artists
And we paint anyway?
We might make something beautiful
If we stop being afraid.
What if we’re bad lovers,
Still we can’t help but love?
Without it our souls waste away
Till all that’s left is dust. CHORUS
TAG
So, what if we’re bad poets?
Maybe that’s okay
It’s far more sad to hold inside
All we want to say.
