As a songwriter and musician, this song is very dear to my heart. So many artists of all types are afraid to express themselves and share their art for fear that it won't be good enough. But what's important is creating and sharing your creativity, giving of yourself, and not worrying about what anyone might think or what might come back to you. It's a lesson I've had to learn, and I'm still learning it. It's good to remind ourselves that it's the journey toward our dreams that really matters.

What if we’re bad poets?
Maybe that’s okay.
It’s far more sad to hold inside
What we want to say.

What if we’re bad dancers?
We try and sometimes fall
How would we learn to get back up
If we never danced at all?

With all we have to give

And we paint anyway?
